Byron A. Gronseth

Art Director / Interactive Designer

Seattle, WA, USA
I am a visual artist and interactive designer. I've spent a lifetime designing, creating and building compelling experiences on behalf of globally recognized brands such as Toyota, Microsoft, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gilt Groupe, Porsche, Paul Gauguin Cruises, Windstar Cruises, Black Hat Events, Hartz and the World Economic Forum. The experience of discovery and exploration anchors the cornerstone of my work.

I bring to the table a keen eye for remarkably tailored visual layout & presentation, dramatic visual design, a categorical emphasis on typography, freehand & digital illustration and advanced photo manipulation. My friends and family consider me to be a genuine storyteller; I excel at both narrative form and creative writing. I also possess a naturally enthusiastic and excellent rapport with clients, both in solving problems and presenting ideas & creative work.
Artist Statement
In my own words // i believe that design is more than just a simple matter of visual orientation and sensibility. to me, it is a subtle and considered blend of idea generation, technical expertise, gut creative instinct and the ability to wield and manipulate language to communicate a message, thereby producing a powerful reaction. in short, i solve problems with the correct application of creativity, technique, intuition & storytelling. equally inspired by old world and hyper-modern aesthetics, my work indulges in visual duality, stress and clarity, and the balance of positive & negative forces. the stories i tell explore exact science and emotion, heroes and villains in all of us...
